Ahimsa Organization implemented this first session under the title “Ice-Breaking and Trust-Building” within the capacity-building program of the “Change Makers” project, which aims to mobilize and unify nonviolent forces in the region and to strengthen a culture of nonviolence among youth.
The session focused on the following key areas:
- Introducing the organization, its mission, and its programs, along with an overview of the “Change Makers”
- Ice-breaking and trust-building activities that strengthened group connection, teamwork, and a sense of belonging.
- Discussing expectations and recommendations, and identifying the main objectives the project seeks to achieve in the coming period.
The session was held at Turquoise Cafeteria Hall in Hasakah, marking the starting point of the team’s journey in learning nonviolent tools, empowering themselves, and contributing to peaceful and effective social change.
During this session, the Change Makers team came together to form the first core of a new generation of nonviolent activists in their community, setting the beginning of an inspiring youth journey toward strengthening a culture of nonviolence in the region.
