Ahimsa Organization implemented the second session titled “Discussing the Dialogue Strategy within the Nonviolence Dictionary” as part of the capacity-building sessions of the “Change Makers” project.

The session focused on the following points:

  • Discussing the concept of dialogue as presented in the Nonviolence Dictionary and its role in creating safe spaces for expression, reducing tension, and strengthening mutual understanding.
  • Highlighting constructive dialogue skills, such as active listening, discussion management, and respect for different points of view.
  • Highlighting practical applications and real-life experiences faced by team members, where dialogue was used as a strategy for conflict resolution and joint decision-making.
  • Discussing mechanisms to develop the team’s capacity to adopt dialogue as a central tool in upcoming activities and initiatives within the “Change Makers” project.

The session created space for interaction and experience-sharing among youth, contributing to the strengthening of their nonviolent skills and the building of a team capable of leading peaceful change in their community.

The session concluded with participants’ recommendations emphasizing the importance of continuing to use the dialogue strategy as a core value across all project activities, given its role in empowering youth and supporting peaceful and effective responses to conflict.
