The “Change Makers” journey was launched with the aim of mobilizing the efforts of nonviolent activists in Northeastern Syria and strengthening their role in leading a peaceful and sustainable process of change.
The project is grounded in the belief that young people and activists can create meaningful impact in their communities through organized civic action and by building a strong civil movement capable of influencing and participating in issues and decisions related to political and social life.
Through “Change Makers,” Ahimsa for Nonviolence seeks to create a space that brings together nonviolent activists, supports the exchange of knowledge and experiences, develops peaceful action tools, and strengthens the capacity for initiative and social impact.
The project goes beyond promoting the concepts of nonviolence.
It seeks to transform these principles into practice and collective action, contributing to a culture of dialogue, participation, and nonviolence, while opening new pathways for young people to take part in creating change.
Change Begins with a Step
“Change Makers” represents the beginning of a journey built on hope and collective action, grounded in the belief that building a more just and peaceful future requires more than words.
It requires meaningful initiatives, collective efforts, and activists who believe in their ability to make a difference.
From here, the journey begins one step leading to another, hope turning into action, and a youth and civil movement working to ensure that change is peaceful, sustainable, and rooted in the values of nonviolence.
