The Ahimsa field team carried out support and recreational activities aimed at spreading a culture of nonviolence and promoting human values at the shelters “Municipality Building and Al-Buhtari School” in the city of Al-Hasakah, as part of the Change Makers Project.
The activities included interactive and group games that strengthened the spirit of cooperation and respect among children, in addition to distributing gifts and toys in a safe atmosphere filled with joy and psychological support.
The program also focused on reinforcing nonviolence concepts such as accepting others, choosing dialogue instead of conflict, and expressing emotions in positive ways.
This activity stems from our belief that building a generation that believes in nonviolence begins in childhood, and that safe spaces are capable of making a real difference in children’s lives.
