The Rainbow Youth Team held a training workshop entitled “Mobilization and Advocacy” as part of the Steps Towards Peace campaign, with support from Pel Civil Waves Organization in Al-Hasakah.
Sixteen participants from civil society associations and organizations took part in the two-day workshop, which included a preliminary assessment of the participants and a discussion of a number of key topics, including:
- Concepts and terminology related to advocacy.
- The purposes and importance of advocacy.
- The goals and principles of advocacy.
- Mobilization methods and mechanisms for gaining support.
- Analysis of the current situation and selection of advocacy goals.
- Choosing between strategic alternatives
- Forms of advocacy campaign financing and their cycle.
This workshop is part of a series of activities within the Steps Towards Peace campaign, which aims to empower young people and promote the values of peace and social cohesion in the city of Al-Hasakah and northeastern Syria.
