This poster is an urgent humanitarian appeal to end the siege imposed on the people of Kobani.
A siege is not a neutral measure, but a form of violence that targets the lives and dignity of civilians and their fundamental right to safety and a dignified life.
Starving people and depriving them of movement, medicine, and basic necessities cannot be justified under any political or military pretext, because civilians are not parties to conflicts and should not be fuel for them.
We raise this appeal from a nonviolent perspective, believing that protecting human beings is a priority and that breaking the siege is an essential step toward peace and justice, The civilians in Kobani deserve life… not siege.
“A siege that starves innocent people is not strength, but moral failure.”
Mahatma Gandhi
