On World Humanitarian Day, we are reminded that working for and supporting people goes beyond providing assistance.
It begins with respecting their dignity, listening to their needs, and standing by them without discrimination.
From this perspective, humanitarian action is closely connected to nonviolence. Every time we choose empathy over indifference, cooperation over exclusion, and dialogue over harm, we take a step toward a more humane, just, and peaceful society.
Because nonviolence is not simply the rejection of harm; it is a daily practice of dignity, solidarity, and peace.
