Ahimsa for Nonviolence Organization conducted the first dialogue session as part of the “Ahimsa Nonviolence Network” project, with the participation of a group of Ahimsa project graduates from different regions.
The session aimed to reconnect Ahimsa alumni, introduce the project, and create a space built on trust and cooperation.
It also sought to explore participants’ interests and motivations and identify the areas in which they wished to contribute.
The session focused on several key areas, including:
- Getting to know one another and rebuilding connections among graduates of previous Ahimsa projects.
- Reflecting on Ahimsa’s journey, achievements, and key milestones.
- Introducing the project, its objectives, and the role of the network in strengthening youth participation.
- Discussing the difference between participating in a project and belonging to a sustainable network based on cooperation and collective action.
- Exploring key community issues that participants believe deserve attention and action.
- Identifying participants’ skills and experiences and exploring how they can be utilized to serve their communities.
- Discussing the areas in which participants can lead change.
- Exploring each participant’s interests and identifying the cells or working groups they would like to join within the network.
The session provided a space for participants to connect, engage in dialogue, and exchange experiences.
It contributed to strengthening their sense of belonging and building a shared foundation for a more cohesive youth network capable of leading community initiatives.
The session concluded by emphasizing the importance of collaborative work, drawing on the experiences of Ahimsa alumni, and building an active network rooted in the values of nonviolence and cooperation, contributing to sustainable impact in society.
