Ahimsa Organization held the second session of the Capacity-Building Training Series (Part 2) in the city of Al-Hasakah, within the framework of the “Masar” Project, in cooperation with the Steps Center in Lebanon, and under the supervision of specialized trainers in the field of nonviolence and peaceful conflict transformation. This session came as a continuation of the first phase of the trainings, which aim to promote a culture of nonviolence, build peace, and empower participants to apply nonviolent skills within their communities.
Main topics discussed during the session:
- Reviewing a comprehensive file that included all the information from the first phase of the trainings, discussing its benefits, and identifying areas that participants wished to explore further.
- Introducing and explaining the “Ladder of Inference” model developed by Chris Argyris in 1990, which consists of seven steps illustrating how people move from observation to decision-making or forming judgments.
- Conducting the exercise “How I See Myself and How Others See Me,” where participants expressed their perspectives through drawings.
- Explaining the “Johari Window” model, which covers four main areas: the Open Area, the Hidden Area, the Blind Area, and the Unknown Area.
